Common questions

Photography Licensing FAQs

Does purchasing a license mean I own the photograph?

Generally, no. A license grants specified usage permissions under agreed terms; copyright ownership is not transferred unless expressly agreed in writing.

Can I use a photograph for advertising or commercial promotion?

Possibly, depending on the photograph and intended use. Images featuring recognizable people, artwork, brands, private property, or restricted attractions may require additional permissions or may not be suitable for certain commercial uses.

Are all photographs on the website available for licensing?

No. The portfolio showcases photographic work. Availability and permitted uses are confirmed individually, and some images may be restricted or available for editorial use only.

Do you offer exclusive licenses?

Exclusive arrangements may be considered on request, subject to existing commitments, prior distribution, and a separate written agreement. Exclusivity cannot be assumed for images already distributed through stock agencies.

How is a licensing fee determined?

Fees are quoted based on the image, intended usage, distribution, placement, duration, and any special requirements. Please provide project details so the request can be assessed accurately.

Can I find the same photos through a stock agency?

Some may be available through my Dreamstime contributor profile. Direct inquiries are welcome when you need help locating a specific photograph or discussing a different usage request.
